Profile:
Pastor Leah serves as our Associate Pastor of Congregational Life. She first joined the Calvary staff in May 2008 as our Associate Pastor (Resident) through a Calvary partnership with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s Initiative for Ministerial Excellence. In April 2011, she was called as our Associate Pastor for Congregational Life. Leah studied at Baylor University. She received a BA in Journalism and Spanish in 2004 and in 2007 received a Master of Divinity from Baylor’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary. Her ordination is recognized by the Alliance of Baptists and American Baptist Churches, USA. She currently serves on the Alliance of Baptist's Clergy Recognition Council. At Calvary, Leah works with our small groups, new members, visitors and helps plan worship. She was a 2010-2011 member of the Lewis Fellows Outstanding Young Clergy Program, is currently a recipient of a grant from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary's College of Pastoral Leaders and is the Managing Editor for the Young Clergy Women Project's publication, Fidelia's Sisters. If you ask her, she’ll tell you all about her love of traveling, the liturgical year or the Washington Redskins (however heartbreaking it may be)! Pastor Leah lives in Manassas with her husband John and dog Moses. She would love to meet you for coffee, tea and hear your story. Email Leah.
